Motivational Thoughts » Articles » Motivational Articles Pick Yourself Up And Fly With The Eagles by Woodring Saint Preux Everything in life is a habit. You can get in the habit of doing it or you can get in the habit of quitting. I remember about 7 or eight years ago, I got myself in the habit working out. I used to exercise religiously! I started to loose weight and it felt great. I lost 57 pounds. That was the first time I weighted less than 200 pounds since coming to America. Something amazing happened... Everyone who knew me stared to panic, I mean everyone. Even my mother asked me a couple of times: "Woody, ki sa-w fe ak mange-m ba-w la... Ti neg la vi-n zo kon sa-m pa konnen!" Translation: (Woody what do you do with the food I give you? You are getting really skinny!) All those who were not in the gym with me could not understand that my weight loss was a result of diet and exercise. Guess what happened? With all that negativity around me, it didn't take long for me to be *De-Motivated*. I started to go to the gym less and less until I stopped altogether. When you are surrounded by negative people, it doesn't matter how positive you are, eventually, they will sprinkle enough negativity on you and in no time you will find yourself with the turkeys instead of flying high with the eagles. From time to time, I do find myself down there but I know for sure this is not where I belong. So I pick myself up, I spread my wings, and I fly away! Identify where you are today; make sure you are up in the sky where you belong. About The Author: Woodring Saint Preux loves to motivate others.
